Clay Inskeep, Owner Clay has spent most of his life deeply involved in all things fast and fun. Since he was a child he has been enthralled with airplanes and cars and has spent most of his life to this point learning about them. Clay got involved in motor sports after his parents bought him his dream car, a 1965 Pontiac GTO at the age of 15, and promptly began racing it at Sears Point Raceway. It wasn't that fast at first (15 second quarter miles) but after much tutelage, both at home with his brother and dad, and at Sonoma Valley High school, he whittled that old car down into the thirteens, which is pretty fast for a 15 year old with no drivers license! (Another story!) Fast forward to graduation, and a job working on formula race cars at Sears Point, which provided him with great professional experience. After some time it was off to school to learn how to work on airplanes, which he did for five years after completing school. In the process he and his father built a competition aerobatic airplane, and Clay got his long anticipated pilots license, all the while attending college classes. Clay completed his studies at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in 2004 and “went backwards,” to open his own business building hot rod cars and customs. This move was questioned by many, but the voices were silenced when the first car out of “the shop,” (then a garage!) won it's class at a national car show, and then a National Champion award from Goodguys Car club. Today, you can find Clay hard at work on one of many projects, or on the phone speaking with a current or future client about their projects. Give him a call; he'd love to talk with you! (Especially about cars and airplanes!)
